KTAR.com - AZ indicts 16 alleged members of Mexican drug cartel: "Sixteen people believed to be members of a Mexican drug cartel have been indicted on charges of smuggling drugs through Arizona to Illinois, North Carolina and other states.
Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard announced the state grand jury indictment Monday.
Goddard said the defendants were responsible for smuggling significant amounts of cocaine, marijuana and heroin across the Mexico-Arizona border into the Valley. They are charged with conspiracy, illegally conducting an enterprise and other crimes related to their involvement.
The defendants include Roque Aceves-Beltran, 45; Rey Cuen-Villareal, 38, and Teresa Cuen-Leon, 33, of Phoenix; Evodeio Cruz-Beltrain, 39, of Los Angeles, and Jose Munoz-Alcaraz, 49, of Mexico. Names of the other defendants were withheld until they are served with the indictment"
