Man wounded in shooting at downtown bar - Monday, Sep. 27, 2010: "man was shot four or five times in an argument late last night outside TJs Sports Bar, 21 Central St., police said.
Capt. Gerald Lessard identified the injured man only as a 30-year-old white male saying he was withholding his identification pending notification of his family. The man was shot in the thigh, arm and shoulder but the wounds are not considered life-threatening, Lessard said.
Detectives continue to investigate the shooting that took place about 11:30 p.m. at the Central Street bar located across from Veteran's Park. No one has been arrested. Lessard said the shooting is not believed to be random and that those involved knew each other.
He said an argument broke out among a group of people gathered on the outdoor patio in the rear of the bar. Someone pulled out a gun and repeatedly fired it, wounding the other man."
