Carteret man charged in double shooting that left 19-year-old dead | NJ.com: "Edward Burton opened fire outside a Lowell Street home in Carteret just before midnight on June 22, killing 19-year-old Devon Mbachu and injuring another teenager, Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce Kaplan said.
Mbachu was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Rahway, where he died less than an hour after the shooting, Kaplan said. The second victim, identified only as a 17-year-old male, was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound in University Hospital in Newark.
Police arrested Burton just after 3 a.m. today at corner of Locust Street and Washington Avenue in Carteret, Kaplan said.
He was charged with murder, attempted murder and weapons offenses and was being held in the Middlesex County jail in lieu of $2 million bail."
